Inspired by nature and blooming gardens, Tanja Orsjoki creates beautiful patterns with the use of strong colours and shapes. The Finnish designer and illustrator Tanja Orsjoki has a master's degree in arts, textile design and textile crafts. Since 2005 she has worked for Vallila Interior, where she is now the head designer. She is responsible for many successful Vallila patterns such as Kelohonka and Aleksanteri. Tanja Orsjoki has also designed patterns for Marimekko.
Her patterns are imaginative and romantic, on the verge of being dramatic yet they also feel very light and elegant. Although Tanja Orsjoki likes to vary different styles, flowers are always be a recurring theme in her designs.
